The Indian Medical Association (IMA) is the largest professional body of modern medicine doctors in India, registered under the Societies Act XXI of 1860. With its headquarters in New Delhi, IMA represents the medical fraternity at national and international levels, being mutually affiliated with the British and Nepal Medical Associations.
Through its various wings, including the Hospital Board of India (HBI), IMA works to uphold ethical medical practice, safeguard doctors’ rights, and promote excellence in healthcare delivery. The Association also connects hospitals and clinical establishments across the country, fostering collaboration, professional development, and quality standards in patient care.
