The Indian Medical Association (IMA) calls upon all healthcare professionals and institutions to unite in the fight against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) during AMR Week, observed from 18th to 24th November 2025. Under the theme “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future,” this year’s campaign emphasizes the critical importance of infection prevention and responsible antimicrobial use.
As part of this initiative, IMA highlights “Hand Hygiene: A Step Against AMR” and urges everyone to stand together on 20th November 2025 at 12 noon in a unified commitment to promote hand hygiene practices. With the message “One Voice, One Action: Hand Hygiene Time!”, the campaign encourages hospitals, clinics, and healthcare workers across the country to actively participate and reinforce best practices in infection control.
Through collective effort and awareness, we can reduce the spread of infections, safeguard the effectiveness of life-saving antibiotics, and secure a healthier future for generations to come.
